Innovations Academy Therapeutic Day School provides educational and therapeutic services to students with Special Education eligibilities at our campus in Streamwood, Illinois. We accept boys and girls, ages 8 – 21 who are in grades 3 – 12 with the following:

  • Emotional Disabilities
  • Intellectual Disabilities
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Specific Learning Disabilities
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Other Health Impairment
  • Multiple Disabilities

In order to best serve our students, we provide separate programming for 3rd through 8th grade and High School/Vocational Education. Students working on Transitional or Self-Sufficiency Plans may attend beyond age 18 and 12th grade as they continue within our high school / vocational education program.

Innovations Academy provides year-round services including a comprehensive Extended School Year (ESY) curriculum during the summer months.

Our multi-disciplinary learning team is comprised of Special Education (LBS1) and Special Subject Teachers (Art, Music and Physical Education), School Therapists, Vocational and Clinical Coordinators, Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Para-Professionals licensed by the Illinois State Board of Education and by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.

Medical services are available as needed and are provided by a Registered Nurse in consultation with student families and medical providers. Our students enjoy the full school experience of education, social activity, sports, and guidance.
